Why Arrow Length Matters
Arrow length plays a major role in how your setup performs. Correctly sized arrows help:
-
Improve arrow flight and accuracy
-
Match proper spine performance to your bow setup
-
Increase safety by preventing arrows from being too short
-
Reduce unnecessary weight and improve efficiency
Arrows that are too long can reduce performance, while arrows that are too short can be unsafe to shoot. Cutting your arrows correctly ensures your setup performs exactly as intended.
How to Measure Your Arrow Length
The safest and most common way to determine arrow length is:
-
Draw your bow naturally with an uncut arrow or measuring arrow.
-
Have someone mark the arrow at the front edge of the riser (arrow shelf) — NOT at the tip of the arrow.
-
Measure from the nock groove (where the string sits) to this mark.
-
Add approximately ½"–1" extra length for safety and broadhead clearance.
- If this is not possible a safe alternative is to get your arrows cut 1" longer than your draw length.
- The standard length of an arrow straight out of the box is 32".
This measurement becomes your cut length.
📏 Arrow length is measured from the bottom of the nock groove to the end of the carbon shaft, excluding the point or insert.
How to Know Your Correct Length
If you already shoot arrows comfortably, you can simply measure one of your current arrows:
-
Measure from the nock groove to the end of the shaft
-
Do not include the tip or field point
-
Enter this measurement when ordering
If you’re unsure, it’s always safer to choose slightly longer arrows — they can be shortened later but cannot be made longer.
Note:
All arrows are cut to the measurement supplied by the customer. Please double-check your length before ordering, as cut arrows cannot be returned or exchanged.
